peek-a-boo

As I folded laundry downstairs yesterday you made your way to the baby gate and rattled your baby jail bars, but with a big smile on your face. we played peek-a-boo and you were smiling and laughing, with every peek-a-boo getting more and more excited. Is there anything sweeter than a laughing, smiling baby?

Anniversary

Yesterday was our second anniversary. Seems like it's been longer than that, much longer. Time seems to fly by but at the same time it is hard to believe that two years have gone by since that beautiful day in Victor, Idaho with so many friends and family. Paloma was with Caitlin all day while we were at work. We only had an hour with her before we dropped her with Jenny and Josh and treated ourselves to a nice dinner at Jax. Sad to be without our little girl for almost an entire day but it was nice to be alone. Plus, she had a good time with Jenny, Josh, May and Edith. She really wanted to climb the abacus and put all the colored pieces in her mouth. Two great years and a beautiful little girl, what more could doting parents ask for on their anniversary?

Sweetness

You woke up early this morning, around 5:30, but your mother got you back to sleep. Around 6 though we could hear you talking to yourself and playing in your crib. It's so sweet to listen to you. Around 6:30 it sounded like you were beginning to whine so I hopped (more like lumbered) out of bed to go get you. I walked in to find you on your side with the sweetest smile on your face. It melts my heart when you smile like that. I love picking you up out of your crib and giving you that first hug of the day along with the first of many kisses.
