bear crawl
Paloma has a unique crawl. She rarely puts her knees on the ground. I wonder if it's because of our hardwood floors. I'm going to miss this crawl when she starts to walk.
Pumpkin Patch
Paloma was so thrilled to be in the pumpkin patch for our family pictures that we took her to the Munson Farm pumpkin patch on Sunday. It was a hot day for mid-October, lots of people out. Still a lot of fun.

Camping
We took our first camping trip last week. Just for one night to Rocky Mountain National Park, in the van. We had no idea how it would all work out with Paloma but all in all it went smooth.
Arrived at our campsite and Paloma played in the back of the van as we tried to change her out of her PJ's and into her Carhartts.
Buns!
Carhartts and dirt go hand in hand.
We hiked up to Dream Lake from the Bear Lake trailhead. 1.1 miles, half of which is paved. But still beautiful, just at the foot of Hallet Peak. Beautiful clear water, pretty Greenback trout, though I only caught one nice one.
Back to camp we had a little dinner, listened to the elk bugling below and watched the sun set on Long's Peak.
Paloma scrambles away from having her diaper changed and getting her PJ's on again. She was teething pretty good which didn't help with the strange sleep situation. We went on a few walks around the campground with her in the Ergo, trying to get her to stay asleep. Finally Zoey just slept with Paloma on her. Thankfully it was a pretty mild evening temperature wise.
Paloma was up early to watch the sun hit Long's Peak.
Family pictures.

Helping make breakfast.
Playing in the dirt.
We went fishing on the Big Thompson moraine, just below the campground.
Paloma's first fish! We tried to get her to pet it but it was a careful balance between that and dropping her in the water.
We stopped in Estes on the way home and visited Karen at her school. It was nice to get away if just for a night. Away from cell service, away from noise. Even if we were staying in a 200 spot campground it still felt wonderful and isolated enough. Our expectations of wilderness and adventure have changed but maybe we'll be more appreciative of those things now.
